He’s been working tirelessly behind the scenes for the last 3 years since our site came online in December 2007. Mind you that he just recently sold his maiden project (Alexa traffic ranking in the top 25,000 sites globally) and therefore now have more time to dedicate for our beloved CekikDarah! (Yea!)

Do you know that one of the hottest commodities on the Internet is the domain name? Domain name is the address that you type on your Internet browser. E.g: (http://www.cekikdarah.com). The nature of domain name business is almost like in real estate; if someone bought the land, nobody else can own it.

Although it is true most of the good domains are already taken, there are other ways you can make money from domain name business.

The formula is domain name plus Google PageRank.

For those who have no idea what is PageRank, you can refer to the Wikipedia page for it.  In simple words, Google use PageRank to rank your website on their search engine.

If you are a PageRank fanatic like me, you may notice that Google recently updated your website’s PageRank. It may seem nothing for those who are just owned a website to make side-income or as a part-time job but in my case, it can be good or horribly wrong because I’m a full-time Internet marketer.

Why?

Frankly speaking, I owned quite a lot of domains where some of them were bought with PageRank, which means that they are quite costly compare to new ones (domains). For new domain such as .com, it cost you around $8 (with coupon code) but for old domain with PageRank, it can cost you from $10 to thousands of dollars.

Here’s the normal price range for domain with PageRank based on my personal experience: -

PR1 = $10 – $20
PR2 = $15 – $30
PR3 = $20 – $50
PR4 = $40 – $200
PR5 = $75 – $1000
PR6 and above = Above $1000

Plus, selling advertisement on website with lower Pagerank mean that I would have to lower the price depending on the new Pagerank. Yes, online business can be brutal sometimes.

Fortunately for me, it is not the case this time (JomValue.com): -

The thing is I have not done anything to the site except linking it to my other websites. It was PR0 (zero) a month ago and now it suddenly goes up to PR4. I could easily sell the domain for at least $100.00 because the domain has something called “brandable” name.

And that’s not all, almost all my website now have at least PR2 which is good because they were PR0 before. I guess sometimes you also need luck in order to make money online.

The only drawback this time is our beloved CekikDarah has now dropped its PageRank from PR3 to PR1. There are lots of things that could go wrong but I suspect it caused by sudden changes on the site due to the lack of old contents and our new platform.

Nonetheless, with a little bit of effort, I believe we could get it back soon.
