Make the Pitch

Do you have an awesome business proposal but don’t have the money to fund it? Well search no longer because MyEG is bringing you a new reality show called “Make the Pitch”.

Make the Pitch is a reality show where contestants come up with awesome business ideas and pitching them in the hopes of convincing the judges to fund your project. From what I heard in the TV commercial, the funding amount is up to RM500K.I’m guessing this would be a reality show similar to to “Sejuta Impian”, only that Sejuta Impians funding money is somewhat stingy at best. There was this team who wanted to make a portal on Indie music and only got RM10K for it. I dont know about you, but RM10K really is not a lot of money.

If you are wondering who are the funders, they are :

  • MyEG Services Berhad
  • MDeC
  • and Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd

But all is not good news. The funding has a price. you will have to give a portion of shares of your company to the funders. In short they are Venture Capitalists. It’s doesn’t necessary mean that its bad though. You can still consider your options and if you don’t mind giving a stake of your company to them (because you can move forward without them anyway) then I guess there’s nothing wrong about it.

Stop Lynas To Save Malaysia??!

Stop Lynas To Save Malaysia??!(2)

From the very beginning I had reservations about the whole “Stop Lynas, Save Malaysia” Campaign. For one, it was heavily politicized and you know when that happens, truth is the first sacrifice. The depressing thing is, the Opposition and the government are saying two contradicting things. One saying its as dangerous as nukes, the other
