In other news.....

Have you noticed the banner?

It is none other than Jimi's plight for your vote.

Jimi needs help. He needs your help!!!

And with the current economic situation, you might need his........

Back in May, I had a very vague idea of eBaying my way to a brand new spanking monitor. It didn't pan out and I stuck to the red-less monitor(s) that have been faithful to me for years.

But now, the inevitable is here.

Instead of not displaying the colour red, the monitor now only displays a flatline!

Which means, the dreaded visit to the Ladang Buaya of Computers & Technology - Plaza Low Yat!

Original weight : 79kg, Current weight : 78kg (damn, not again)

In what we hoped to be the prelude of many posts to come, let us welcome September with a jolly good news;

We cashed-out our first AdSense payment!

Western Union

The beauty of using Western Union is that it eliminates the waiting time for the standard cheques to arrive AND clear. All you have to do is to fill-in the yellow 'To Receive' form with the details provided by AdSense, and go straight to counter 7 or 8.

And voila!
A week after returning from my trip to Australia, I met up with a friend in Subang.  Long story short, five minutes into the meeting, I got a job at her workplace as a temporary worker, which fits my immediate need perfectly.

Convocation is a month away, so while waiting for the big day, why not kill time while earning some cash eh?

The deal was for RM7/hour and I don't get paid if I don't show up. Flexible enough I'd say.

Nonetheless, I needed to justify the temporary employment opportunity by analyzing the cost and benefit (Cost-Benefit Analysis is what they call it in economics.)

So I did a rough calculation to determine whether or not the employment opportunity costs more than the benefit I gain. (Balik modal tak kalau kerja kat sini?)

Calculating the cost.....
