To be honest, I didn’t really expect to be selected for Sasuke Malaysia but now that I have competed in it, I didn’t regret it one bit.
Totally awesome!!!
This is my introduction video for Sasuke Malaysia. I’ve completely forgotten to include it earlier *shy*

Sasuke Malaysia was done in conjunction with Himpunan Sejuta Belia in Putrajaya. Registration started at 6am till 7.30am. The course was only half as long as the original one in Midoriyama and there were no stage 2 and 3 due to the general level of fitness of Malaysian which is not as high as those in Japan (I read this in a article on the net). Makoto Nagano, the Ninja Warrior Legend from Japan also came to support this newly expanded franchise.

Basically I can divide the participants into a few groups. Parkour, bootcampers, gimmicks and first time try-outs. To be honest Parkour guys looked the most promising.
But who knows….

This was evident by the number of contestants making it to the end by lunch break was only one. Break was at 12pm and this gave some time for the weather to get hot and dry up the whole course.

In the end 3 people passed the course on the first day.

I think the best thing about it was everybody was not competing with each other, but competing with themselves.
In other words, the course is the enemy.
Everyone cheers for everybody. In fact, cheering was the ,most fun thing about the whole experience.

So, Sasuke Malaysia will be show on local TV around Merdeka day any will comprise of 6 episodes. It’s not yet confirmed which TV station it will be on though, so stay tuned!
