iMyn on Sasuke Malaysia

Japanese game shows are famous of giving their contestants impossible odds while having a tight time limit. But that is what makes joining them a real challenge and the satisfaction of overcoming it is indescribable.  I always had a wish that if I was given the opportunity to stay in Japan for an considerable amount of time, I would love to participate in a Japanese game show (no not the show “I Survived a Japanese Gameshow”, that’s American) . But it seems like my dream has somewhat come true. But I didn’t expect it to be happening at a more worst time.

If you have been following Japanese Gameshows, you probably know the gameshow Ninja Warrior or it is new name Sasuke Warrior. For those who don’t know what it is – http://www.sasukemalaysia.com. Well there is a Malaysian version of the show called Sasuke Malaysia. The winner gets to join the Japanese version of the show in Japan.

To cut the story short. I applied half-heartedly to join the show and was not optimistic about the selection because I know I’m no where near the physical condition to be a good contender in the show. I joined Rebel Bootcamp but that was 2 months ago and I have slowly become out of shape since stopping.  That’s why I mentioned it was my wish had came at the wrong time. However for some funny reason I was selected to join the show. Now I’m in panic mode because I haven’t done any serious training whatsoever and I have just more than a week to prepare. Oh well, like a famous poet used to say, “Just do it!”.

The competition will be held in Putrajaya on the 27th and 28th May. However it is not mentioned where in Putrajaya it is held. Some say in Paya Indah Wetlands but it is speculation at best. We will get to know everything during the briefing  this 21st May.

Registration is close, so you have to wait next year to join, assuming there is a wide acceptance on the part of Malaysians to the game show, enough for it to go into season 2. So, hopefully you’ll be hearing about it from me soon. For the time being enjoy some of the videos of Sasuke Warrior Japan.

Bersih 3.0 : A Late Assessment(0)

I know the topic is now warm rather than hot, but as an observer at Bersih 3.0 I wanted to get the bigger picture before writing about the event. Right about now the Bersih 3.0 has passed about 2 weeks ago. In those 2 weeks I managed to digest many opinions and eyewitness accounts from

Stop Lynas To Save Malaysia??!

Stop Lynas To Save Malaysia??!(2)

From the very beginning I had reservations about the whole “Stop Lynas, Save Malaysia” Campaign. For one, it was heavily politicized and you know when that happens, truth is the first sacrifice. The depressing thing is, the Opposition and the government are saying two contradicting things. One saying its as dangerous as nukes, the other
